"With profound sorrow did the Ukrainian parliament members learn of the numerous casualties in the result of the accident with Bulgaria motor vessel on the Volga river", the telegrams read.

On behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and himself, Volodymyr Lytvyn conveyed sincere condolences to the bereaved families.
